Discovering the Civil War opens at The Houston Museum of Natural Science on October 14.
This travelling exhibition, which has just closed at the Henry Ford Museum, Dearborn, MI will be on show in Houston from October 14, 2011 until April 29, 2012. The National Archives holds millions of records, both Union and Confederate. Discovering the Civil War draws on these letters, diaries, photos, petitions, and patents to give visitors a chance to walk in the shoes of researchers in unlocking secrets, solving mysteries, and uncovering unexpected events from this pivotal point in US history.
