Tuesday 10 February 2009 Three further titles in Fields of Vision series
D Giles Limited, in association with the Library of Congress, Washington, D.C., is delighted to announce that a further three titles in the Fields of Vision series will be published early in 2010.
Following on from the publication in September 2008 of the first three books featuring The Library of Congress’ internationally renowned collection of Farm Security Administration (FSA) and Office of War Information (OWI) photographs, the series will continue with images chosen from the works of John Vachon, Esther Bubley and Jack Delano. Providing a unique view of American life during the Great Depression and Second World War, each Fields of Vision volume includes an introduction to the life of the photographer and 50 evocative images selected from their work, transporting the viewer to American homes, farms and streets in the the 1930's and 1940's.
